Adjunctive Services
Let’s Collaborate to Support Your Clients
You’ve built a strong, trusting connection with your client. But despite your best efforts, something keeps them stuck. They’re experiencing flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, or deeply entrenched negative self-beliefs that won’t budge. Or they’re navigating complex sexual issues: a sexless marriage, pelvic pain, erectile difficulties, or low libido. Perhaps they’re questioning their gender expression or exploring ethical nonmonogamy.
You’ve tried various approaches, but this feels outside your typical area of expertise. You know they could benefit from trauma-focused therapy, specialized sexual health interventions, or relationship intensives—but you also know how much value your ongoing work brings them. Should you refer them out or continue doing your best to address these challenges on your own?
Why choose? Why can’t it be both?

What Are Adjunctive Services?
Adjunctive services are specialized therapies designed to supplement the foundational work you’re already doing with your client. Rather than replacing your role, these services provide targeted support in areas that may require advanced training or a focused approach—such as trauma resolution, sexual health, or relationship dynamics.
Our services are collaborative, compassionate, and integrative. Think of us as your trusted partners, working alongside you to address specific needs that go beyond your typical scope while respecting and honoring the deep therapeutic relationship you’ve built.

Who Are Adjunctive Services Not For?
While adjunctive services provide specialized and valuable support, they may not be appropriate for everyone. These services are not suitable in the following cases:
- Clients in Immediate Crisis: If a client is in acute distress, experiencing active suicidal ideation, or in need of immediate psychiatric intervention, adjunctive services are not designed to provide emergency care. In these instances, clients should seek crisis-specific support or hospitalization as necessary.
- Clients Unwilling to Engage with Multiple Providers: For individuals who feel uncomfortable or overwhelmed by working with multiple therapists, adjunctive services may not align with their preferences. Clients must be open to a collaborative approach.
- Therapists or Coaches Seeking Complete Autonomy: These services rely on a collaborative partnership. If a referring therapist or coach prefers to manage all aspects of a client’s care independently, adjunctive services may not be the best fit.
- Concerns Outside the Scope of Our Expertise: While we offer a broad range of specialized therapies, there may be cases requiring niche interventions or expertise not provided at our center. In such instances, we’ll help guide referrals to appropriate specialists.
- When There is a Misalignment of Goals: Adjunctive services work best when there is clarity and agreement on the roles of all providers involved. If expectations or goals are not aligned, the effectiveness of the collaboration may be compromised.
By understanding these limitations, we ensure that adjunctive services are utilized appropriately, fostering success and alignment in care for all involved.
